SAN (Storage Area Network)

The SAN at the Institute consists of core Fibre Channel Switches, to which several disk subsystems (both FC/FC and FC/(S)ATA) and several servers (compute, file and database servers) are attached. At the moment, the overall storage size of the SAN amounts to 37.5 Terabyte. Additionally, 5.1 Terabyte of DAS (Direct Attached Storage) is also available.
